How a Barcode Badge Time Clock Works
Each employee is issued a badge printed with a unique barcode. To clock in or out, the employee holds or passes the badge in front of the scanner.
The clock reads the barcode, identifies the employee, and logs the punch in under a second. Punch data transmits to your TimeTrak dashboard immediately over WiFi or Ethernet
The system determines the punch type automatically based on the employee’s current status. There is nothing to select and nothing to remember. Scan and go.
For large shift changes where many employees punch in within a short window, barcode scanning handles high-volume traffic quickly without creating a bottleneck at the clock station.
